Dance From Home with The Raccoon Carnival!

The Raccoon Carnival invites you to gather (online of course) February 26th at 7pm  for a night of music, community, and online contra dancing to benefit the Phinney Neighborhood Association!

PNA has been serving hot meals, helping seniors with pharmacy and grocery runs, and partnering with the YMCA to provide childcare for essential workers. We’d like to help keep the good work going by directing all donations for this event to PNA.

With a dozen-ish members in The Raccoon Carnival band we can’t do a livestream, so we’ve done the next best thing–spent months recording remotely through a collaborative video app, one person at a time.

We’ve got fiddles, guitars, mandolins, bass and a few surprises, which all adds up to a big sound! The delightful Eric Curl will guide you through the dances, Josh Larios will work his techno wizardry to make it all possible, and you can download our tune book to play along at home! Not a dancer or musician (yet)? Feel free to come just to listen!

Registration is free, donations are encouraged — register here!

We’d like to thank PNA and Seattle Folklore Society for all their help making this possible!
